As you can see that the printing is streaked when I'm printing in blue color. Other compartments of this cartridge (red and yellow) work fine. I have tried all ordinary measures like printer cleaning function, immersing the cartridge into boiling water etc. Can I put hot water into the cartridge to clean clogged ink from inside or will I ruin it? The printer is canon PIXMA 258.

One more thing, I can print perfectly fine without any streaking in the best quality setting. Streaking only plagues me when I print in the default setting. Unfortunately I'm a heavy printer and best quality is far too slow for me. Here's an example of best quality print in blue color by the printer-
Goddamn this rubbish printer. All inkjets fu*king suck.
In your second picture you still have the streaking it just seems better as there is a deeper coverage.
That is classic either blocked print head or one colour empty streaking.
You need a new ink!
