If you’re thinking of taking a short city break for some much needed retail therapy there are many cities in Europe that offer all the top designers and luxury brands all in the same place. Shop in comfort and style, but also stay in top Paris or London hotels in amazing locations to complete your shopping break.
If you're travelling to London you'll be blown away by the quality of the shopping and certainly the likes of Harrods - the huge, world famous department store - stand out above them all. However, if you want to buy something specific, Bond Street in Mayfair is home to the most elegant and expensive shops in London, packed with designer brands such as Gucci, Armani, Chanel and Dolce & Gabbana. To complete your stay in London, stay at the four star hotel ‘The Grosvenor’, located close to Buckingham Palace. Then again, no other city in the world is as fashionable as the French capital, Paris. The Faubourg Saint-Honoré district is the epicenter of Paris design and fashion, with classic designers such as Versace, Hermes, and Yves Saint Laurent occupying this district. You can also find the most famous labels on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees, from Louis Vuitton to Dior all with major stores here. If you want to save your cash for luxury fashion clothing, then stay at some of the many budget priced Paris hotels.
Italy is another stylish country, and its capital, Rome, certainly offers some top-range shopping. If you want absolute luxury and big name labels, you'll want to stroll around the Piazza di Spagna area. The Via Dei Condotti is home to Italy's finest designers such as Prada, Valentino, Gucci, Fendi, Missoni, Armani and Versace. You can find budget Rome hotels around the city, but you might wish to splash out on a luxury hotel in the shopping districts. Hotel Fontana is located opposite the Trevi Fountain and close to Palazzo Chigi and nearby are the Vittorio Emanuele Monument and Pantheon.
